National Reconciliation Week takes place between the dates of 27th of May – 3rd of June. National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The theme for 2020 is “In this together” and coincides with the twentieth anniversary of the Reconciliation walks of 2000.
Over the course of this week students and staff have been participating in a variety of activities and events to learn more about our Indigenous histories and celebrate our shared cultures. Students in the junior area created paintings and artworks based on the Aboriginal Flag. Our senior students created a video based off a recital to country:
